Skype Ending Support Of Its Smart TV App
The Gist: The BBC was first to notice, via a Skype support page, that the Skype TV app, which was pre-loaded into some TV models (Samsung and LG) and available for download via three other TV brands, will no longer receive updates after this June 1. The reasoning is that mobile devices are where Skype thrives most for viewers, not their TVs.
